The Swedish Forest Industries Federation gave NINE the assignment to create inspiring and attractive target images for researchers, investors, politicians and the industry to gather around. The starting point was the forest industry’s vision for 2035, saying that the industry’s production value shall double until 2035 and that new products shall account for 50% of the growth.

The result of NINE’s work is Ekoportal2035; the gas station of the future. It illustrates the leap from black to green, from fossil to renewable. Ekoportal2035 aims to inspire for innovation and it presents new product ideas and concepts based on efficient use of the renewable forest raw material, smart technologies and new collaboration.

Ekoportal2035 was first presented in December 2010 and has been shown at several conferences and seminars in Sweden and Europe during 2011. Read all about the project at www.ekoportal2035.se
